MILWAUKEE — Shane Soderwall stopped all 22 shots he faced and Justin Wright scored twice as the Rochester Grizzlies capped a sweep of a two-game weekend series against the Milwaukee Power with a 4-0 win on Saturday night.
Wright scored 2:51 into the game to put the Grizzlies (25-5-1) up for good, en route to their 25th victory of the season.
Veteran Matt DeRosa scored 1:08 into the second period, then Owatonna native Collin Pederson scored 1:42 later to make it 3-0 after two.
Wright added his second of the game and 11th of the season in the third period, an insurance goal with 1:55 remaining.
The Grizzlies outshot the Power (9-24-0) 30-22.
Peyton Hart had two assists, while Tyler Huffer, Teppei Ueno and Joey Fodstad had one each.
Soderwall's shutout is his fifth of this season, as the veteran goalie improved to 14-2-0.
With its victory and a loss by Peoria Saturday night, Rochester extended its lead in the North American 3 Hockey League Central Division to seven points over Peoria.
Rochester hosts the Oregon (Wis.) Tradesmen on Friday and Saturday at the Rochester Recreation Center at 7:05 p.m.
