The Omaha Lancers players increased the lead to 2-0 early in the second period when Marcus Broberg netted one, assisted by Frank D'Ancona and Vincent Salice.
James Hong narrowed the gap to 2-1 early into the third period, assisted by Tyler Procious.

Garrett Schifsky tied the game 2-2 eight minutes later, assisted by Tyler Procious. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.
