The Waterloo Black Hawks beat the visiting Tri-City Storm 4-1 on Saturday.
The first period was scoreless, and in the second period, the Black Hawks took the lead when Aaron Pionk opened the scoring assisted by Gavin Lindberg and Tyler Procious.
Jake McLean scored early into the third period, assisted by Sam Rinzel, increasing the lead for the Black Hawks.
Gavyn Thoreson scored a goal late in the third assisted by Ben Robertson, increasing the lead for the Black Hawks.
The Storm narrowed the gap to 3-1 with 59 seconds of play remaining in the third period after a goal from Dane Dowiak, assisted by Kieran Cebrian and Drew Montgomery.

The Black Hawks increased the lead to 4-1 with 13 seconds of play remaining after a goal from Aaron Pionk.
