PITTSBURGH — The USHL Fall Classic has now wrapped up, but The Rink Live caught up with USHL Commissioner Bill Robertson at the event and discussed how big of an opportunity the event is for players with all of the NCAA and NHL scouts in attendance and what is next for the league.

"Colleges want to look at these kids who might not have been drafted or not committed to a school yet this is their chance to shine," said Robertson. "This is the only time of the year where all 16 member clubs get a chance to be together. There's a lot of networking that goes on, a lot of comradery, it brings everything to what I call a hockey haven."

The USHL has two more large events on the calendar including the American Cup in Rochester, New York, from Dec. 1-4 and the Frosty Cup in Dallas from Jan. 26-29.

Kirsten Krull covers juniors and prospects for The Rink Live. She is a 2020 St. Cloud State graduate, and has been working in the hockey world for over six years, covering many levels of the game from juniors to the NHL.
