Third period win for Phantoms against Gamblers

The Youngstown Phantoms and the visiting Green Bay Gamblers were tied going into the third, but Youngstown pulled away for a 6-5 victory in game action.

The Phantoms opened strong, as the game was just getting started with Kenta Isogai scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Chase Pietila and Kyle Bettens.

The Gamblers tied it back up at 12:38 of the period, after a Brody Lamb goal assisted by Matt Deboer and Alex Servagno.

The Gamblers also took the lead at 17:37 of the period, after a Cameron Lund goal assisted by Ryan Greene and Alex Servagno.

Stiven Sardarian scored at 2:52 into the second, to give the Phantoms the lead.

Garrett Wright then tallied a goal at 14:59 of the second period, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Stiven Sardarian and Bayard Hall assisted on the play.

Matt Deboer scored at 19:18 into the second, assisted by Brody Lamb and Alex Servagno, to give the Gamblers the lead.

In the third, Peter Kramer scored one minute into the third period, assisted by Owen Murray, giving the Gamblers 4-3 a lead.

In the third period, Justin Varner scored in the 3rd minute of the period, assisted by Tiernan Shoudy, to tie the game.

In the third, Jaden Grant scored a goal in the 8th minute of the period, assisted by Winter Wallace and Adam Ingram, giving the Phantoms 5-4 a lead.

In the third period, Jarod Crespo scored a goal nine minutes into the period, assisted by John Mittelstadt and Brody Lamb, to tie the game.

Just just one minute later Charlie Lurie got the puck in goal, assisted by Carter Rose and Tomas Machu, and decided the game. With that, the Youngstown Phantoms turned the game around. The 6-5 goal would be the last one of the game.

The Phantoms were whistled for eight penalty minutes, while the Gamblers just received four minutes.

These teams play each other again on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. CST at Covelli Centre.
