The hosting Team USA took the lead at 4:57 of the first period, with a goal scored by Logan Cooley. Jimmy Snuggerud and Rutger McGroarty assisted on the play.
The RoughRiders tied the score 1-1 quickly. At 5:16 Martins Lavins scored, goal assisted by Andy Moore.
The RoughRiders also took the lead at 7:20 of the period, after a Andy Moore goal assisted by Joe Fleming and Jake Percival.
The Team USA tied it back up at 12:15 of the period, after a Rutger McGroarty goal assisted by Logan Cooley and Hunter Brzustewicz.

The Team USA also recaptured the lead at 15:21 of the period, after a Lane Hutson goal assisted by Isaac Howard and Hunter Brzustewicz.
Team USA scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.
The RoughRiders narrowed the gap to 5-3 after Grant Ahcan found the back of the net in the second period.
The RoughRiders narrowed the gap again at 7:51 into the third period when Jake Percival netted one found the back of the net, assisted by Martins Lavins and Andy Moore.
In the third period, Cruz Lucius scored with 4 minutes remaining, assisted by Lane Hutson, increasing the lead for the Team USA.
The Team USA increased the lead to 7-4 with 16 seconds of play remaining after a goal from Isaac Howard, assisted by Lane Hutson and Ryan Chesley.
The Team USA were whistled for 16 penalty minutes, while the RoughRiders spent 21 minutes in the penalty box.
These teams play each other again on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CST at USA Hockey Arena.
