Strong third period wins it for Dubuque Fighting Saints against Muskegon Lumberjacks

A tight game between the home-team Dubuque Fighting Saints and the visiting Muskegon Lumberjacks wasn't settled until the third period, when Dubuque scored the game-winning goal, ending it 5-4.

A tight game between the home-team Dubuque Fighting Saints and the visiting Muskegon Lumberjacks wasn't settled until the third period, when Dubuque scored the game-winning goal, ending it 5-4.

The Fighting Saints started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Shawn O'Donnell scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Riley Stuart.

The Fighting Saints increased the lead to 2-0 with a goal from Theo Wallberg late into the first period, assisted by Owen Michaels.

Four goals were scored in the second period, the score being tied at 3-3 going in to the third period.

Lucas St. Louis took the lead early in the third period, assisted by Max Montes and Ryan St. Louis.

James Reeder increased the lead to 5-3 two minutes later, assisted by Michael Burchill and Theo Wallberg.

Ethan Whitcomb narrowed the gap to 5-4 six minutes later, assisted by Cody Croal.
