Steel score six goals in third period

The road-team Green Bay Gamblers were still very much in the game and winning against the league-leading Chicago Steel before the third period in the matchup. But then, Chicago Steel made an effort and fought back to win by 10-3.

The game remained scoreless for a long time. With two quick goals from Jackson Blake and Sam Lipkin at 1:42 apart near the end of the period and took control of the game.

The Gamblers narrowed and then closed the gap at 2-2 with goals from Ryan Greene and Brody Lamb in the second period.

But the Chicago Steel quickly scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.

In the third period, Adam Fantilli scored in the remaining 38 seconds, assisted by Jake Livanavage, increasing the lead for the Steel.

In the third period, Andon Cerbone scored a goal in the seventh minute of the third period, assisted by Lukas Gustafsson and Luca Fantilli, increasing the lead for the Steel.

In the third, Jayden Perron scored a goal in the 10th minute of the period, assisted by Nicholas Moldenhauer and Jack Harvey, increasing the lead for the Steel.

Later in the period, Zam Plante scored at in the middle of the period, giving the Steel a 8-2 lead.

In the third, Will Staring scored 11 minutes into the period, assisted by John Mittelstadt, closing the gap for the Gamblers.

In the third period, Adam Fantilli scored his second goal in the 14th minute of the period, assisted by Jackson Blake and Jake Livanavage, increasing the lead for the Steel.

In the third, Jack Harvey scored a goal with 4 minutes remaining, assisted by Nicholas Moldenhauer, increasing the lead for the Steel. That left the final score at 10-3.

The Steel were called for 25 penalties, while the Gamblers received 35 penalties.

The Steel have now won four straight home games.

Gamblers play against the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Sunday, April 0 at 6:05 p.m. CST at Covelli Centre. Steel will face the Youngstown Phantoms on Friday, April 5 at 3:05 p.m. CST at Resch Center.
