Stars win at home against Buccaneers

The Stars claimed three straight goals in first period as the team pulled ahead 3-0, in just 3:31 in the middle of the period.
The Buccaneers narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Joshua Barnes scored the first goal in the period.
The Buccaneers came back once again, making it 3-2 after Joshua Barnes found the back of the net in the second period.
The Stars took the lead 4-2 when Lucas Wahlin scored with 03.06 remaining in the period.

In the third, Doug Grimes scored 14 minutes into the third period, assisted by Brennan Ali, increasing the lead for the Stars. The 5-2 goal held up as the game winner.
The Stars were whistled for 41 penalty minutes, while the Buccaneers received 25 minutes.
On Saturday, the Stars will host the Omaha Lancers at 6:05 p.m. CST at Liberty First Credit Union Arena and the Buccaneers will play against the Sioux City Musketeers at 6 p.m. CST at Buccaneer Arena.
