The Buccaneers took the lead late in the period into the first period, with a goal scored by Maxim Musorov. Lubomir Kupco and Dovar Tinling assisted.
The Buccaneers took the lead 2-0 once again when Maxim Musorov beat the goalie after 43 seconds in the second period.
The Stampede narrowed and then closed the gap at 2-2 with goals from Daniel Russell and Michael LaStarza.
The Sioux Falls Stampede quickly scored two more goals in the third period to take a commanding lead.

Dovar Tinling closed the gap for the Buccaneers at 4-3, and gave the game life once more with just one minute of play remaining.
The Stampede managed to decide the game 5-3 with 16 seconds left when Karsen Dorwart found the back of the net.
The Stampede were called for six penalties, while the Buccaneers spent eight minutes in the penalty box.
On Saturday, April 6 Stampede will play home against the Waterloo Black Hawks at 6:05 p.m. CST at Denny Sanford Premier Center, while Buccaneers will face the Fargo Force home at 6 p.m. CST at Buccaneer Arena.
