The Sioux Falls Stampede have gone through a tough spell with a run of five straight defeats. But after a 3-0 victory over the Des Moines Buccaneers, things are looking brighter.
The first period was scoreless.
It wasn't until 9:08 into the second period that the Stampede took the lead when Austen May scored the first goal goal assisted by Michael Quinn and Merril Steenari.
The Stampede scored in the third, receiving goals from Sam Harris and Adam Zlnka. The final goal came with 01.39 left to play.
Both teams were called for eight penalty minutes.

Both teams play again on Saturday, as the Stampede host the Sioux City Musketeers at 6:05 p.m. CST at Denny Sanford Premier Center and the Buccaneers host the Lincoln Stars at Ice Box.
