Solid victory for Phantoms

The Youngstown Phantoms won their home game against the Green Bay Gamblers. The team put in a strong effort and got a shutout. The game ended 2-0.

The Phantoms started off sharp and took the lead right after the puck drop with Winter Wallace scoring at 28 seconds, goal assisted by Andrew Centrella and Adam Ingram.

It took a while for either team to score again. Shane Lachance scored at 15:16 into the second, assisted by Garrett Wright and Kyle Bettens, to give the Phantoms the lead.

The third period was scoreless as the Phantoms held on to their 2-0 lead and won.

The Phantoms were called for eight penalty minutes, while the Gamblers spent 12 minutes in the penalty box.

These teams will meet again on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CST as they play each other at Covelli Centre.
