The Phantoms started off sharp and took the lead right after the puck drop with Winter Wallace scoring at 28 seconds, goal assisted by Andrew Centrella and Adam Ingram.

It took a while for either team to score again. Shane Lachance scored at 15:16 into the second, assisted by Garrett Wright and Kyle Bettens, to give the Phantoms the lead.

The third period was scoreless as the Phantoms held on to their 2-0 lead and won.

The Phantoms were called for eight penalty minutes, while the Gamblers spent 12 minutes in the penalty box.
