CHICAGO — There were a number of skaters who had big weekends at the Fall Classic this past week, but there were a few who stood out from the rest.
SAM HARRIS (SIOUX FALLS STAMPEDE)
Sam Harris has been named the USHL's forward of the week for week one after putting up five points at the Fall Classic. In the Stampede's first game of the season against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, Harris added an assist on the score-sheet on the second goal of the night and then scored his own 2:01 into the third period of that game. Harris really had his moment in game two when he tallied his first ever USHL hat trick when the Stampede played the Cedar Rapids Roughriders.
ANDREW STRATHMANN (YOUNGSTOWN PHANTOMS)
Defenseman of the week honors go to Andrew Strathmann of the Youngstown Phantoms. In the Phantoms first game against the Waterloo Black Hawks, Strathmann posted a goal and an assist, but the Phantoms would eventually fall in that game 5-2. On Saturday, the squad took on the Des Moines Buccaneers and Strathmann once again found his way onto the scoresheet by tacking on an assist for a total of three points on the weekend. This was the North Dakota commit's first time on the ice with the Phantoms after playing for the Tri-City Storm last season.

CAMERON WHITEHEAD (LINCOLN STARS)
Cameron Whitehead of the Lincoln Stars earned goaltender of the week honors. Whitehead finished the weekend making 45 saves on 46 shots. He helped back the Stars to a 4-1 win against the Roughriders on Thursday, Sept. 22, and then to a 6-0 shutout on Friday against the Gamblers, making that his the second shutout win of his career. Whitehead was drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2022 NHL Draft 128th overall in the fourth round.
