The Team USA started the game strong, receiving goals from Jimmy Snuggerud and Charlie Stramel.
The Gamblers started the second period strongly and tied the game at 2-1 when Brody Lamb found the back of the net after 1:15 and 2-2 on a goal by Cameron Lund at 3:01.
After that though, it was mostly about the Team USA. Team USA narrowed the gap and got back into the race after just after 37 minutes. After that the team took a 5-2 lead before the second period was over.
It continued in the same way.

In the third period, Seamus Casey scored 11 minutes into the third period, increasing the lead for the Team USA. The 6-2 goal was the last one of the game.
The Gamblers were called for 10 penalty minutes, while the Team USA spent 12 minutes in the penalty box.
