RoughRiders couldn't stop red-hot Fighting Saints from winning

The hosting Fighting Saints took the lead, with a goal scored by William Hallén. Zane Demsey and Stephen Halliday assisted.
The Fighting Saints made it 2-0 with a goal from Kenny Connors at 7:27 into the second period.
The RoughRiders narrowed the gap to 2-1 after David Chen scored in the period.
But the Dubuque Fighting Saints quickly scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.

Adam Flammang closed the gap for the RoughRiders at 4-2, and gave the game life once more with just two minutes of play remaining.
The Fighting Saints managed to decide the game 5-2 with five seconds left when Tristan Lemyre netted one.
Both teams were called for 25 penalties.
In the next round on Friday, April 5, Fighting Saints will face the Green Bay Gamblers road at 7:05 p.m. CST at Resch Center, while RoughRiders host the Madison Capitols at 7:05 p.m. CST at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
