Peters strikes twice as Lincoln Stars beat Omaha Lancers

The Lincoln Stars defeated the visiting Omaha Lancers 6-1 on Saturday.

The Lincoln Stars defeated the visiting Omaha Lancers 6-1 on Saturday.

The hosting Stars took the lead in the first period, with a goal scored by Keaton Peters. Mason Marcellus and Boston Buckberger assisted.

The Stars also increased the lead to 2-0 with a goal from Michael Mesic late into the first period, assisted by Jack Larrigan and Brennan Ali.

The Stars scored four goals in second period an held the lead 6-0 going in to the second break.

Evan Werner scored early in the third period, for a final score of 6-1.
