The Musketeers claimed three straight goals in the second period as the team pulled ahead 3-0.
The Lancers narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Jared Wright opened the scoring in the period.
The Musketeers increased the lead to 4-1 with 58 seconds of play remaining in the third period after a goal from Charlie Schoen, assisted by Tabor Heaslip and Grant Slukynsky.

Both teams were called for 19 penalty minutes.
Both teams play Saturday, with the Lancers hosting the Lincoln Stars at 6:05 p.m. CST at Liberty First Credit Union Arena, and the Musketeers playing the Des Moines Buccaneers at 6 p.m. CST at Buccaneer Arena.
