Team USA defeated the visiting Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 6-1 on Sunday.

The Team USA took a 2-0 lead with two quick goals from Devin Kaplan and Ryan Leonard.

The Team USA then claimed three straight goals in the second period as the team increased their lead from 2-0 to 5-0 in just 9:26.

The RoughRiders narrowed the gap to 5-1 after Jake Percival found the back of the net in the period.

The Team USA made it 6-1 again with a goal from William Smith with 03.21 remaining in the period.

In the third period, the Team USA held on to its 6-1 lead and won.

The Team USA were called for 14 penalty minutes, while the RoughRiders received 16 minutes.

On Friday, the Team USA will host the Youngstown Phantoms at 6:05 p.m. CST at USA Hockey Arena and the RoughRiders will play against Team USA at 7:05 p.m. CST at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
