Madison Capitols win on the road against Chicago Steel

A close game saw the Madison Capitols just edge out the Chicago Steel on Saturday. The final score was 6-5.

A close game saw the Madison Capitols just edge out the Chicago Steel on Saturday. The final score was 6-5.

The visiting Capitols took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Nathan Lewis. Nick Wallace assisted.

The Capitols scored three goals in second period an held the lead 4-2 going in to the second break.

The Capitols increased the lead to 5-2, after only 22 seconds into the third period when Quinn Finley beat the goalie again, assisted by Miko Matikka.

Mick Thompson narrowed the gap to 5-3 in the middle of the third period, assisted by Jayden Perron and Anthony Dowd.

Matt McGroarty increased the lead to 6-3 just one minute later, assisted by Nathan Lewis.

Jack Harvey narrowed the gap to 6-4 just one minute later, assisted by Christopher Delaney.

The Steel narrowed the gap again with a goal from Jack Harvey, assisted by Jake Livanavage and Mick Thompson at 19:28 into the third period.
