Finn Brink scored in the middle of the third period, assisted by Nicholas Fascia and Landen Gunderson, to tie the game for the Capitols. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 4:34 before Quinn Finley scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Jack Musa and Miko Matikka.
