Madison Capitols win in overtime against Green Bay Gamblers

With no decisive score in regulation, the Madison Capitols' home game against the Green Bay Gamblers ran into overtime on Friday. Madison snatched the win with a final score of 4-3.

The game-winning goal was scored by Madison's Quinn Finley.

The first period was scoreless, and early in the second period, the Gamblers took the lead when Barrett Hall scored the first goal.

Austin Oravetz then tallied a goal halfway through, making the score 2-0. Jayson Shaugabay and Matthew DiMarsico assisted.

Midway through, the Gamblers made it 3-0 with a goal from Nicholas VanTassell.

Late, the Capitols' Jan Olenginski scored a goal, assisted by Jonah Aegerter, making the score 3-1.

The Capitols narrowed the gap again with a goal from Miko Matikka, assisted by Jack Musa and Quinn Finley at 1:14 into the third period.

Finn Brink scored in the middle of the third period, assisted by Nicholas Fascia and Landen Gunderson, to tie the game for the Capitols. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 4:34 before Quinn Finley scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Jack Musa and Miko Matikka.
