CHICAGO — Another week of the USHL season is in the books, and a trio of players have had weeks for the books. In this week's USHL player of the week honors, we have three skaters from different teams who each contributed in a big way to their organization.

Macklin Celebrini (Chicago Steel) Forward of the week

In a commanding 7-1 victory over the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday, 16-year-old Macklin Celebrini was vital for the Chicago Steel. It was a night of career highs for the forward, picking up four points on the night which is the most he's tallied all season. In the first period, Celebrini couldn't be contained as he went on to record his first USHL hat trick before the first 20 minutes were up. Celebrini is a Boston University commit, and has nine goals and five assists for 14 points through nine games so far this season. Celebrini is the third forward on the Steel to earn forward of the week honors this season.

Nate Benoit (Omaha Lancers) Defenseman of the week

On Friday night, Nate Benoit netted his first goal of the season in the Lancers 4-1 win over the Lincoln Stars. He picked up three points over the weekend including a pair of assists. Benoit is a Minnesota Wild prospect, where the organization drafted him in the sixth round of the 2021 NHL Draft where he was selected 182nd overall. He is also committed to the University of North Dakota and is in his second season in the USHL.

Bruno Bruveris (Cedar Rapids Roughriders) Goaltender of the week

The Cedar Rapids picked up a win over the Des Moines Buccaneers Saturday, where Bruno Bruveris was perfect in net. He stopped all 20 shots that came his way in the 3-0 shutout win, marking Bruveris' fourth career USHL shutout and first of the season. Bruveris is 4-2-1-0 on the season and has a 2.72 goals against average with a .899 save percentage. The Roughriders netminder is currently on a three-game win streak.
