Lumberjacks win on road against Team USA

The Muskegon Lumberjacks claimed both points when they visited Team USA on Saturday. The final score was 6-2.

The visiting team took the lead, with a goal scored by Ben Strinden. Nathan McBrayer and Phillip Tresca assisted.

The Team USA tied the score at 1-1 when Ryan Fine scored in the second period.

The Lumberjacks scored again, making it 2-1 with a goal from Quinn Hutson after 8:36 in the period.

The Team USA came back and made it 2-2 after Danny Nelson found the back of the net in the period.

The Lumberjacks made it 3-2 with a goal from Jacob Braccini with 02.41 remaining in the period.

The Lumberjacks scored in the third, receiving goals from Jack Williams, Noah Ellis and Owen Mehlenbacher. The final goal came with 03.51 left to play.

The Team USA were whistled for six penalties, while the Lumberjacks spent 10 minutes in the penalty box.

Team USA plays the Chicago Steel away on Sunday, April 0 at 3:05 p.m. CST at USA Hockey Arena. Lumberjacks will face the Chicago Steel at home on Friday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m. CST at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
