The Muskegon Lumberjacks broke a tie game, winning 4-3 at home over the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Friday.
The Lumberjacks took a 2-0 lead with two quick goals from Jacob Guevin and Quinn Hutson.
The Fighting Saints narrowed and then closed the gap at 2-2 with goals from Connor Kurth and Michael Feenstra in the beginning of the second period in the second period.
The Lumberjacks made it 3-2 with a goal from Ethan Whitcomb at 8:05 into the period.
The Lumberjacks scored again, making it 4-2 with a goal from Jack Williams after 10:38 in the third period.

Lucas Ölvestad narrowed the gap somewhat, but the Fighting Saints didn't come any closer than 4-3.
The teams play again on Sunday, May 1 at 7:05 p.m. CST at Mystique Ice Center.
