The 8-5 win on road sealed the victory for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the series against the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Muskegon won in two games.
The Lumberjacks dominated the first period, with goals from Owen Mehlenbacher, Quinn Hutson and Ben Strinden.
The Fighting Saints narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Nikita Borodayenko scored in the second period.
But the Muskegon Lumberjacks quickly scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.
The Fighting Saints came back once again, making it 5-2 after Ryan Beck netted one in the period.

The Fighting Saints narrowed and then closed the gap at 5-5 in the third period.
The Lumberjacks then claimed three straight goals in as the team increased their lead from 5-5 to 8-5 in just 5:48. The Muskegon Lumberjacks thereby took a clear victory.
