Lancers win 5-1 at home against Buccaneersthe Omaha Lancers won at home on Thursday, handing the Des Moines Buccaneers a defeat 5-1.

The Lancers took a 2-0 lead receiving goals from Vincent Salice and Alex Bump.

Lubomir Kupco scored within the first minute of the period, assisted by Henry Bartle and Mitchell Wolfe, to give the Buccaneers the lead.

The Lancers were also sharp in the third period, taking a 5-1 lead after goals from Alex Bump, Vincent Salice and Luke Strickland. The last goal came with 02.38 left to play.

The Lancers were whistled for just six penalties, while the Buccaneers received 16 penalties.

The teams play again on Friday, April 5, with Lancers hosting the Lincoln Stars at 7:05 p.m. CST at Ice Box, and Buccaneers hosting the Sioux Falls Stampede at 7:05 p.m. CST at Denny Sanford Premier Center.
