The Lancers were also sharp in the third period, taking a 5-1 lead after goals from Alex Bump, Vincent Salice and Luke Strickland. The last goal came with 02.38 left to play.

The Lancers were whistled for just six penalties, while the Buccaneers received 16 penalties.

The teams play again on Friday, April 5, with Lancers hosting the Lincoln Stars at 7:05 p.m. CST at Ice Box, and Buccaneers hosting the Sioux Falls Stampede at 7:05 p.m. CST at Denny Sanford Premier Center.
