The Chicago Steel defeated the visiting Madison Capitols 7-2 on Friday.

The Steel dominated the first period, with four quick goals from Zam Plante, Nicholas Moldenhauer, Sam Lipkin and Chris Able.

The Capitols narrowed the gap scoring 4-1 and 4-2 after Jake Dunlap och Reid Pabich netted one in the second period.

But the Chicago Steel quickly scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.

In the third period, Jack Harvey scored his second goal with just 26 seconds left, assisted by Jayden Perron and Nicholas Moldenhauer, increasing the lead for the Steel. The 7-2 goal was the last one of the game.

The Steel were whistled for four penalty minutes, while the Capitols spent six minutes in the penalty box.
