Force score three in third period to overtake Omaha

Omaha tied the game early in third but Fargo's Thomas Weis scored the go-ahead goal 27 seconds later and the Force swept the Lancers.

OMAHA, Neb. — J.P. Turner scored two goals and assisted on the game-winner as the Fargo Force defeated Omaha 6-4 on Saturday before 2,584 at Liberty First Credit Union Arena.
The Force took both games against the Lancers over the weekend and they have won four of their last six.
Saturday featured a game of streaks, with the Force scoring the first two goals and the Lancers answering with three straight. Turner scored his first goal late in the second period to tie it 3-3 and Bret Link scored at 2:03 of the third for the lead.
Omaha's Chris Hedden scored at 6:08 of the third to knot the game 4-4, but Weis answered at 6:35 on an assist from Turner to retake the lead. Fargo's Ryan Alexander scored an empty-netter with four seconds left.
Cooper Gay scored the Force's other goal, Mason Langenbrunner had two assists and Weis, Link, Joe Palodichuk and Cole Knuble all had assists.
