The Lumberjacks opened strong, taking the lead early when Jacob Braccini opened the scoring after only 14 seconds, but the Fighting Saints' Jackson Hallum tied it up after 16:08.
The Lumberjacks made it 2-1 again with a goal from Quinn Hutson at 8:32 into the second period.
The Fighting Saints came back and made it 2-2 after Connor Kurth found the back of the net in the period.
The Lumberjacks scored again, making it 3-2 with a goal from Jake Richard after 1:39 in the third period.

The Lumberjacks then claimed three straight goals in as the team increased their lead from 3-3 to 6-3 in just 9:01.
The Fighting Saints closed the gap to 6-4 with a goal from Stephen Halliday with just three minutes left on the clock, adding some tension late in the game.
The Lumberjacks managed to decide the game 7-4 with 01.28 left when Tyler Hotson beat the goalie.
The Lumberjacks were whistled for 23 penalty minutes, while the Fighting Saints received 29 minutes.
These teams will soon play each other again in the next matchup on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. CST at Mercy Health Arena.
