The Sioux City Musketeers and the visiting Des Moines Buccaneers were tied going into the third, but Des Moines pulled away for a 2-1 victory in game action.
The game-winning goal was scored by Des Moines' Lubomir Kupco.
The first period was scoreless, and late into the second period, the Buccaneers took the lead when Henry Bartle scored the first goal assisted by Jak Vaarwerk and Michael Bevilacqua.
Late, the Musketeers' Colin Kessler scored a goal, assisted by Finn Loftus, making the score 1-1.
Lubomir Kupco scored within the first minute, assisted by Joey Muldowney and Gustav Stjernberg, and got the win.
