Halfway through, Nicholas Moldenhauer scored a goal, assisted by Mick Thompson and Cameron Johnson, making the score 3-0.
Late, the Steel made it 4-0 with a goal from Nicholas Moldenhauer.

Ethan Elias scored within the first minute of the third period, assisted by Brendan Lamb and Miko Matikka, narrowing the gap for the Capitols.
The Capitols narrowed the gap again early in the third when Matt McGroarty netted one scored, assisted by Finn Brink and Nathan Lewis.

The Steel increased the lead to 6-4 with 57 seconds of play remaining after a goal from Nicholas Moldenhauer, assisted by Jayden Perron.
