Chicago Steel grab extra point vs. Youngstown Phantoms in overtime

The Chicago Steel and the visiting Youngstown Phantoms tied 4-4 in regulation on Friday. Chicago beat Youngstown in overtime 5-4.

The Chicago Steel and the visiting Youngstown Phantoms tied 4-4 in regulation on Friday. Chicago beat Youngstown in overtime 5-4.

Chicago's Jake Livanavage scored the game-winning goal.

The hosting team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Jack Harvey. Grayden Slipec and Michael Emerson assisted.

The Steel increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Nicholas Moldenhauer struck, assisted by Cameron Johnson and Zam Plante.

The Phantoms narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal from William Whitelaw in the middle of the first, assisted by Jake Rozzi and Andrew Strathmann.

The Phantoms tied the game 2-2 late into the first when Matthew Perkins scored, assisted by Kenta Isogai and Nick Williams.

The Phantoms scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-2 going in to the second break.

Michael Emerson narrowed the gap to 4-3 early in the third period, assisted by Jack Harvey and Grayden Slipec.

Mick Thompson tied the game 4-4 five minutes later, assisted by Nicholas Moldenhauer and Anthony Dowd. With this tie the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 1:37 before Jake Livanavage scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Jack Harvey and Jayden Perron.
