The Lumberjacks opened strong, right at the beginning of the game with Landon MacDonald scoring right at the start into the first period, after only 30 seconds.
The Lumberjacks increased the lead to 2-0 quickly. Early in the first period Phillip Tresca scored.
The Steel narrowed the gap to 2-1 quickly. Early into the first period Sam Lipkin struck, assisted by Lukas Gustafsson and Jayden Perron.
The Lumberjacks increased the lead to 3-1 quickly. Early into the first period Jacob Braccini scored, assisted by Phillip Tresca.

The Lumberjacks increased the lead to 4-2 late in the first period, after a Owen Mehlenbacher goal.
Late in the first period in the first period Zam Plante struck a goal, assisted by Dylan Robbins and Anthony Dowd and narrowed the gap for the Steel.
The Steel turned it around when they scored three in a row and going from 4-3 to 6-4.
In the third period, Ethan Whitcomb scored 13 minutes into the third period, assisted by Nathan McBrayer and Owen Mehlenbacher, closing the gap for the Lumberjacks.
The result means the Steel have secured the title.
