The game between the Tri-City Storm and the hosting Des Moines Buccaneers finished 5-2. Des Moines' victory puts an end to a five-game losing streak.
The hosting Buccaneers took the lead at 14:02 in the first period, with a goal scored by Andrew Kuzma. Lubomir Kupco and Dylan Wegner assisted on the play.
The Storm started the second period strongly and tied the game at 1-1 when Lleyton Roed beat the goalie after 55 seconds.
After that though, it was mostly about the Buccaneers. The Des Moines Buccaneers regained the lead after 6:38, and eventually pulled ahead with a 3-1 lead.
It continued in the same way.

In the third, Ilya Nikolaev scored with just 17 seconds left, assisted by Cole O'Hara and Jeremy Wilmer, closing the gap for the Storm.
In the third period, Lubomir Kupco scored in the 3rd minute of the third period, assisted by Dylan Wegner, increasing the lead for the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers increased the lead to 5-2 with 43 seconds of play remaining after a goal from Christian Kocsis.
The Buccaneers were called for just six penalty minutes, while the Storm spent 26 minutes in the penalty box.
The Buccaneers travel to the Fargo Force on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. CST at Scheels Arena. The Storm will face the Omaha Lancers home on Friday at 7:05 p.m. CST at Viaero Center.
