Team USA begins its quest for a medal Thursday, Feb. 10, in the 2022 Beijing Olympics and the team is predominantly comprised of players who once wore a jersey for a USHL squad.
Twenty-one players for Team USA skated in the USHL, according to the league, and overall there are 35 players on the Olympic rosters of 10 nations.
"We are incredibly proud of all of the people who are representing their countries at the 2022 Olympics who have come through the United States Hockey League," Bill Roberston, president and commissioner of the USHL, said in a statement.
"The way we're represented at the Olympics, not only by former players but also staff and officials, is a testament to the way our league has developed those who come through it."
The U.S. is scheduled to face off in its preliminary round games against China (Thursday, Feb. 10), Canada (Feb. 12) and Germany (Feb. 13). All of the games will be broadcast by USA Network. The full U.S. roster can be found here .
