The Rink Live has partnered with United Robots, a Swedish tech company, to produce more robust hockey coverage for fans.
The hockey website produces stories, video, photos, analysis and unique content about youth, high school, junior, college and professional hockey in Minnesota, North Dakota and throughout the Upper Midwest, with more than a dozen staff from Forum Communications Co., the parent company of The Rink Live.
The partnership will provide automated hockey news to supplement The Rink Live’s coverage of the USHL and NAHL junior leagues.
“I am excited to partner with United Robots to expand our content offerings to our readers,” said Neal Ronquist, general manager of The Rink Live. “Nothing can replace the work of our talented journalists. Technology does, however, afford us unique opportunities to cover more teams, more players, in an efficient and creative manner. As we learn more about what our audience members value, we will continue to explore all avenues to increase the amount of unique, engaging hockey content we deliver.”
Since November, The Rink Live has added reporters to focus on youth, juniors and prospects, along with other staff and resources to increase its social media presence on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.

Launched in 2015, United Robots has provided automated articles to more than 100 news sites for sports, real estate, business transactions, traffic and weather.
The collaboration allows The Rink Live, established in 2019, to expand coverage to dozens of games weekly for junior-level hockey.
