Wranglers win at home against Rhinos

The Wranglers opened strong, taking the lead early when danylo korzhyletskyi scored the first goal after only 32 seconds, but the Rhinos' Bo Cosman tied it up after 8:40.

But the Amarillo Wranglers scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.

The Rhinos narrowed the gap to 3-2 after Jack Anderson netted one in the second period.

The Wranglers made it 4-2 with a goal from Kristaps Skrastins with 01.01 remaining in the period.

The Rhinos came back once again, making it 4-3 after Nathan Gagne scored in the third period.

The Wranglers managed to decide the game 5-3 with 03.12 left when Kristaps Skrastins beat the goalie.

Both teams were called for six penalty minutes.

The teams play their next games on Friday. The Wranglers will host the Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:05 p.m. CST at Budweiser Bull Pen, and the Rhinos will visit the Lone Star Brahmas at 7:30 p.m. CST at NYTEX Sports Centre.
