Wranglers beat Wings and continue winning run

The game between the Amarillo Wranglers and the Aberdeen Wings on Saturday finished 4-2. The result means Amarillo has four straight wins.

The game between the Amarillo Wranglers and the Aberdeen Wings on Saturday finished 4-2. The result means Amarillo has four straight wins.

The hosting Wranglers took the lead early in the first period, with a goal scored by Rihards Simanovics. Dominik Bartecko assisted.

The Wings tied the score at 1-1 when Anthony Galante found the back of the net in the second period.

The Wranglers took the lead 2-1 again when Rihards Simanovics netted one with 07.20 remaining in the period.

The Wranglers made it 3-1 again with a goal from Logan Cleary with 04.16 remaining in the third period and came even closer to victory.

Zachary Reim closed the gap for the Wings at 3-2, and gave the game life once more with just two minutes of play remaining.

The Wranglers managed to decide the game 4-2 with 40 seconds left when Kyle Demarco beat the goalie.
