Wolverines win at home against Magicians

The Anchorage Wolverines claimed both points when they visited the Minnesota Magicians on Friday. The final score was 5-2.

The Wolverines dominated the first period, receiving goals from Cameron Morris, Talon Sigurdson and Clay Allen.

The Magicians narrowed the gap scoring 3-1 and 3-2 after Trevor Kukkonen och Gavin Best found the back of the net in the second period.

The Wolverines made it 4-2 with a goal from Jackson Krock at 8:28 into the period.

In the third period, Aiden Westin scored in the first minute of the third period, assisted by Hunter Bischoff and Talon Sigurdson, increasing the lead for the Wolverines. That left the final score at 5-2.

The Wolverines were called for nine penalties, while the Magicians spent 14 minutes in the penalty box.

The teams play again on Saturday, April 6 at 10 p.m. CST at Ben Boeke Ice Arena.
