Wolverines reverse deficit to clinch victory

The Anchorage Wolverines were challenged and were behind by 1-2 after two periods in the game against the Chippewa Steel. However, the change came in the third period and the game ended in 3-2 for road-team Anchorage.

The Anchorage Wolverines were challenged and were behind by 1-2 after two periods in the game against the Chippewa Steel. However, the change came in the third period and the game ended in 3-2 for road-team Anchorage.

The game-winning goal was scored by Anchorage's Wilson Dahlheimer.

The Steel took the lead in the middle of the first period, with a goal scored by J.J. Grainda. Mason Johnson assisted.

The Steel took the lead 2-0 when Hudson Zinda netted one with 05.53 remaining in the second period and came even closer to victory.

The Wolverines narrowed the gap to 2-1 after David Tolan netted one in the period.

In the third period, Kade Shea scored in the middle of the third period, assisted by Layten Liffrig, to tie the game for the Wolverines.

Wilson Dahlheimer scored a goal five minutes later, assisted by Jackson Reineke and Layten Liffrig, and got the win.

The teams now have the chance to fine-tune their tactics, as they play each other again in the next matchup on Friday at 7 p.m. CST at Chippewa Area Ice Arena.
