The Aberdeen Wings beat the visiting Austin Bruins 6-3 on Friday.
The Wings claimed three straight goals in first period as the team pulled ahead 3-0, in just 9:55 in the middle of the period.
The Bruins narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Nick Catalano scored the first goal in the period.
Cade Neilson scored early into the second period, assisted by Will Gilson and Kyle Gaffney, to give the Wings the lead.
The Wings scored again, making it 5-1 with a goal from Patrick O'Connell with 08.19 remaining in the third period and came even closer to victory.

The Bruins came back once again, making it both 5-2 and 5-3 after Alex Trombley och Jack Malinski netted one in the period.
The Wings managed to decide the game 6-3 with 01.19 left when Anthony Galante scored.
The teams meet again on Saturday, April 30 at 7:15 p.m. CST, this time in Aberdeen at Odde Ice Center.
