The Fairbanks Ice Dogs players increased the lead to 2-0 within the first minute of the second period when Brady Welsch found the back of the net, assisted by Tyler Herzberg.
In the second period, the Kenai River Brown Bears' players Bryce Monrean scored a goal, assisted by Hunter Newhouse and Hayden Walters, making the score 2-1.
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs players increased the lead to 3-1 with 01.27 of play remaining into the third period after a goal from Brady Welsch, assisted by Julian Recine.

The Kenai River Brown Bears players were whistled for 11 penalties, while the Fairbanks Ice Dogs players received 9 penalties.
