The Hat Tricks started off well with a 2-0 lead receiving goals from Peter Lajoy and Owen Simmons.

Jacob Badal scored early into the period, assisted by Jake Black and Braedon Ford, to give the Tomahawks the lead.

In the third period, Holt Oliphant scored 12 minutes into the third period, assisted by Jake Black and Zachary Murray, to tie the game for the Tomahawks. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 3:17 before Holt Oliphant scored the game-winner for the home team.
