Three points for Norsemen after third-period-win

The St. Cloud Norsemen defeated the visiting North Iowa Bulls 3-2. The game was all square after two periods but in the third St. Cloud Norsemen managed to pull out a win.

The visiting Bulls started off sharp and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Jack Mesic scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Sean Vlasich and Byron Hartley.

Blake Mesenburg scored at 1:09 into the second, assisted by Broten Sabo, to give the Norsemen the lead.

In the second, Brandon Lajoie scored a goal at 7:23, assisted by Evan Murr and Ethan Benz, increasing the lead to 2-1 for the Norsemen.

Jack Mesic scored at 12:03 into the second, assisted by Sean Vlasich and Max Scott, to give the Bulls the lead.

In the third, Blake Perbix scored in the 12th minute of the third period, assisted by Blake Mesenburg and Ryan O'Neill, and got the win. The 3-2 goal was the last one of the game.

The Norsemen were whistled for six penalty minutes, while the Bulls received 11 minutes.

The Norsemen have now won four games in a row.

Norsemen travel to the Austin Bruins on Saturday at 7 p.m. CST at Riverside Arena. Bulls will face the Bismarck Bobcats on Friday at 7:30 p.m. CST at Mason City Arena.
