The Steel took the lead in the first period, with a goal scored by Kade Nielsen. Mason Johnson and Matthew Brille assisted.

The Steel scored in the second, with two quick goals from Joey Sylvester and Kade Nielsen (2).

In the third, Cody Kempf scored midway through the third period, assisted by Peyton Platter and Shawn Ramsey, increasing the lead for the Steel.

James Barbour scored in the 13th minute, assisted by Brock MacDonald and Will Bowman, narrowing the gap for the Tomahawks.
