Steel beat Jr. Bues

The Steel dominated the first period, receiving goals from Brady Yakesh, Kade Nielsen and Cody Kempf.

The Steel made it 4-0 with a goal from Jackson Bisson at 3:16 into the second period.

The Jr. Bues narrowed the gap to 4-1 after Connor Smith scored in the period.

The Steel took the lead 5-1 again when Joseph Grainda found the back of the net with 05.51 remaining in the period and came even closer to victory.

The Jr. Bues came back once again, making it 5-2 after Isaac Novak netted one in the period.

The Steel scored again, making it 6-2 with a goal from Nick Sajevic after 22 seconds in the third period.

Fisher Scott narrowed the gap somewhat, but the Jr. Bues didn't come any closer than 6-3. The Chippewa Steel took a solid victory.

The Steel were whistled for eight penalties, while the Jr. Bues spent 15 minutes in the penalty box.

Steel host the Minnesota Wilderness in the next game home on Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m. CST at Chippewa Area Ice Arena. The same day, Jr. Bues will host the Janesville Jets at 7:05 p.m. CST at Nelson Center.
