The St. Cloud Norsemen won the road game against the Bismarck Bobcats 7-2 on Saturday.
The Norsemen started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Hunter Hanson scoring in the first minute, a goal assisted by Wyatt Wurst and Jeremiah Konkel.
The Bobcats' Julian Beaumont tied the game 1-1 halfway through the first period, assisted by Landon Fleming and Ian Engel.
The Norsemen took the lead with a goal from Jordan Zelenak late into the first, assisted by Evan Pahos and Andrew Knapp.
The Bobcats tied the game 2-2 late in the first when Ian Engel scored, assisted by Landon Fleming and Brandon Reller.
Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Norsemen led 5-2 going in to the third period.
Broten Sabo increased the lead to 6-2 late in the third period, assisted by Wyatt Wurst and Hogan Sinjem.
The Norsemen increased the lead to 7-2 with 01.33 remaining of the third after a goal from Jake Hosszu, assisted by Duke Kiffin and Hogan Sinjem.
Both teams were called for five penalties.
