Shreveport Mudbugs end five-loss run

The game between the Lone Star Brahmas and the Shreveport Mudbugs finished 3-2 after an overtime drama on Friday – no doubt a relief for Shreveport after five straight defeats.

Shreveport's Jaden Goldie scored the game-winning goal.

The first period was scoreless, and late into the second period, the Mudbugs took the lead when Eric Vitale scored the first goal assisted by Drake Morse and Jaden Goldie.

Ryan Comishock tied the game 1-1 in the third period, assisted by Jakob Karpa and Ray Murakami.

Jakub Teply took the lead nine minutes later, assisted by Mason Mara and Antti Autere.

The Mudbugs tied the score 2-2 with seven seconds remaining of the third period after a goal from Ryan Burke, assisted by Garrett Steele and Logan Heroux.

In overtime, it took 52 seconds before Jaden Goldie scored the game-winner for the road team, assisted by Drake Morse and Logan Heroux.
