The Rebels quickly scored two more goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.
The Mudbugs narrowed the gap scoring 3-1 and 3-2 after Jaden Goldie and Jake Mack scored in the second period.
In the third period, Max Hamstad scored with just 47 seconds left, assisted by David Deputy and Greg Spitznagel, and sealed the win.
The Rebels were whistled for 6 penalties, while the Mudbugs received 5 penalties.
