The visiting Oklahoma Warriors players started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Therien Thiesing scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Owen Carlile and Rylan Brady.
The Oklahoma Warriors players increased the lead to 2-0 with a goal from Hunter Jones in the middle of the first period, assisted by Brendan Williams.
The Corpus Christi IceRays players narrowed the gap to 2-1 halfway through the first when Oleksii Dakhnovskyi scored, assisted by Hans Martin Ulvebne and Michael Casey.
The Oklahoma Warriors' players Drew Sutton increased the lead to 3-1 late into the first, assisted by Joey Delgreco and Malte Hasselgren.

Five goals were scored in the second period, and the Oklahoma Warriors players led 7-2 going in to the third period.
The Corpus Christi IceRays players narrowed the gap again with a goal from Michael Casey, assisted by Anthony Cafarelli and Peteris Purmalis at 14:03 into the third period.
