The Odessa Jackalopes have gone through a tough spell with a run of six straight defeats. But after a 4-1 victory over the Shreveport Mudbugs, things are looking brighter.

The Jackalopes started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with John Perdion scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Emerson Goode.

The Jackalopes increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Brendan Finn scored, assisted by Andrew Stacey and Trevor Mitchell.

Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Jackalopes led 4-1 going in to the third period.

The Mudbugs were called for 10 penalties, while the Jackalopes received 8 penalties.
